iRiver America booth at CES
Event marketing
Consumer electronics company iRiver America wanted to create a premium brand experience for visitors to its booth at CES. The booth was located in a low-traffic area the primary function of the space was for press and partner meetings. Products and headphones had to be attractively displayed with proper cord control. Harsh fluorescent lighting from above and standard beige walls and carpet threatened the mood of the environment. The budget was half that of comparably sized trade show spaces.

I took an unorthodox approach to the design of the 30'x40' space. Attention was paid to every detail in the environment, ensuring that all elements met iRiver standards for image and quality. Custom elements included hand-picked model talent, a tailored wardrobe, hand-made product display stands, and specially designed lighting elements. I negotiated specialty pricing and tracked all budget reconcilliation.

The space truly reflected iRiver's brand image: cool, premium, and quality. Visitors got an unquestionable nightclub/lounge impression when entering the environment. The client was able to fill gaps in their meeting schedule with qualified individuals who were attracted by the décor of the space.
The CES 2004 iRiver booth had four stations for visitors to interact with iRiver's four product categories outside of the private meeting space.
We were hired again to design the CES 2005 iRiver booth showcasing the new iRiver brand.
My role at the time was Strategic Account Manager. My agency used this quote to headline the case study for this project.
